KPMG Caribbean Region Banking Survey 2008

KPMG presents its 2008 Caribbean Region Banking survey along with an update based on follow-up discussions with survey participants conducted in November 2008.

The presentation addresses some of the challenges facing and opportunities available to the Caribbean tourism industry as well as current lending parameters and the banks’ revised outlook. The results were presented at the 35th Conference of Caribbean Association of Indigenous Banks held in Bridgetown, Barbados.

KPMG's 2008 Caribbean Region Banking survey covered banks with an aggregate exposure of US$4.6 billion to the Caribbean’s hospitality industry. We also surveyed regional developers with a total exposure of $1.1 billion.
